Darcey Dearden began her payroll career right out of high school, manually processing payroll for several small businesses.  Before long, she was working for Paychex in SoCal, where she spent 12 years with the company, repeatedly qualifying for Conference and Circle of Excellence.  Eventually, Darcey made a move to CompuPay (BenefitMall), opening the Oregon office in 2008 with only 15 clients and hired a dynamite team that grew the client base to well over 500 clients.  In 2013, she helped build and develop the payroll division team at BenefitMall’s corporate office.  In 2017, Darcey became the RVP for Total Administration Service Corp. covering the SW territory, managing a team of 14 sales reps across 6 states.

While Darcey is dedicated to her career, her family is her life.  Her 30-year-old son, Victor, lives in Beaverton, her mom lives in Bullhead City, AZ, and her sister lives in her hometown of Apple Valley, CA.  Although her family is spread out among the Western states, it’s a family tradition to reunite every year at Christmas.  As hobbies, she enjoys Pilates, reading, and travelling. Darcey is uplifted by the positivity and enthusiasm of the Journey team and is excited to continue building relationships through payroll in the Beaverton area.

Journey’s CEO, Kevin Welch says, “Darcey and I were introduced from a mutual friend, which allowed us to build trust immediately.  From our first conversation, I could tell she would only improve the Journey Family with her personality, drive, and care towards others.  Darcey and I come from the same corporate background, and therefore we connected with that foundation, along with the desire of wanting more for our clients, families, and ourselves.  I am truly lucky to call Darcey an owner of Journey Payroll & HR in Beaverton, Oregon.  I know she will have a terrific impact in the Oregon community, as well as nationwide.”

Journey’s President of Franchising, Ashlee Faulkner says, “I am thrilled to work with Darcey and have enjoyed her uplifting and positive attitude come through in everything that she does. I have no doubt she will grow Journey in a number of ways and will only enhance the strong spirit we all possess.”
